Proverbs
11:24-26
May 6, 2012
Explore what Proverbs, and Bible in general, has to say
about money, wealth, and business. “A fool and his money are soon parted.” But not a Scripture! Quote from 16th century English
poet and farmer, Thomas Tusser…
Proverbs 11:24–26 (NKJV)
24 There is one who scatters, yet increases more; and there
is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty.
25 The generous soul will be
made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself. 26 The people will curse him who
withholds grain, but blessing will be on the head of him who sells it.
Multitude of Proverbs dealing with business…

I am not going to teach today. Instead we have four of our members who
either own their own business or serve as the executive officer of their
business. I am going to interview them
and let them share some of their story.
Let’s meet them now:
Bill Appleton, Claudia Green, Dan O’Leary, Travis Tacker
First: I want to interview the participants and ask the
following three questions:
1. How did you get into your present business/job/position?
2. Did you feel the Lord's leadership and direction in
getting to your present business/job/position? If so, in what way?
3. What Biblical principles have made an impact on the
way you do business?
Feel free to add anything else you might want to share about
personal and business finances.
Second: We have had the congregation write down some questions
and we will answer them as long as we have time.
